#FindYourPark Initiative

The National Park Service turned 100 in 2016! To celebrate this milestone, it launched the Find Your Park public awareness and education campaign. National parks and partners like us work to inspire the next generation of park visitors, stewards, and advocates. And we enjoy recreating on the beautiful lake and sharing it with others.

Voyageurs National Park Projects for 2016

Northern Lights Resort & Outfitting on Kabetogama Lake in Voyageurs Natl. Park

Voyageurs National Park Association launched two large-scale Centennial projects in 2016: the restoration of park wetlands and the renovation of the popular Cruiser Lake Trail.

“Offering perhaps the best opportunity to spot the park’s large mammals including moose, wolves, and black bears, the 9.5- mile Cruiser Lake Trail winds its way through the heart of the Kabetogama Peninsula, from the northern edge of Kabetogama Lake to what is perhaps the park’s most iconic vista atop Anderson Bay. Hikers traversing this stretch are able to truly experience Voyageurs country, from tranquil wetlands and rugged shorelines to windswept cliffs.” Christina Hausman, Director Voyageurs National Park Assoc.
