Dear Friends – 2012 is Full of Changes!

We greatly appreciate your business and each year we continue to re-invest back into Northern Lights for better comforts and facilities. For many years we have had the policy of "our current years rate for the next year" for those guests who re-book within 2 weeks of their stay at NL. That policy will continue provided the cabin is not substantially renovated or all new as in the case of Deer becoming Teton in 2012. Given some of our guests have been disappointed because they did not book early enough we are showing how books were in 2010 so our guests can better plan. (Click for 2010 We have also had our "pic-a-price" program of last minute bookings for a number of years. If you have a flexible schedule and can book at the last minute with a bid through pic-a-price the prior years occupancy will also be helpful.

Watch for pictures in the Christmas letter coming soon. Deer cabin is gone and replaced with Teton, a 3 bedroom / 2 bath, timber frame cabin which will have a stone fireplace, screen porch and vaulted ceilings. This will be a "Wow" cabin and a great addition to the resort. Remodeled bathrooms in both Northern and Moose cabins and a remodeled kitchen will be added to Caribou. A new rock garden was built at the entrance to the lodge. It will have flowers and also herbs for all the guests to use for cooking. Looking forward to your visit! -Tom, Pat, Harlan, Heidi & Staff

Our beautful family-friendly cabin resort is surrounded by wilderness in a secluded bay on 16 acres, with nearly ¼ mile of shoreline. Lake Kabetogama (Ka-be-tow-ga-ma) is one of a chain of wilderness Border Lakes with majestic scenery and part of Voyageurs National Park on the Minnesota, Ontario border. From our dock, there are 65 miles of uninhabited, road-less wilderness waterways with hundreds of islands, bays, coves, rock bluffs and gorges. There are 19 other remote hike in or fly in lakes with a variety of fishing and lots of adventure. Many say we have the best fishing in Minnesota!

Our cabins are loved by the ladies and those particular about their comforts, while kids love our sandy beach, Floating Water Park and our weekly Youth Quest. We offer excellent, high quality boats and pontoons equipped with GPS for safe boating.
